EU AI Compass — Privacy Policy

Summary. EU AI Compass is a privacy-first, zero-login compliance toolkit for the EU AI Act. The app includes 25+ interactive assessment tools, 33 training modules, 29 branching decision simulations, and EU AI Act reference content. All user inputs, quiz answers, simulation decisions, and assessment results are processed and stored exclusively on the user’s device. No personal data is collected, transmitted, or stored on any server. The app does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not provide legal advice.

1) Who we are

EU AI Compass is published by Move78 International Limited, a private limited company incorporated in Hong Kong SAR. Contact: contact@euaicompass.com.

2) Data processed by the app

  • On-device processing: All interactive compliance tools (25+), training module quizzes (33 modules), and decision simulations (29 scenarios) execute entirely on your device. User inputs, assessment answers, quiz scores, simulation decisions, and generated compliance records are stored only in local app memory for the duration of your session. When you close the app, all session data is discarded. This data is never transmitted to any server.
  • Content delivery: The app retrieves read-only educational content (FAQ, glossary, timeline, blog articles, literacy modules, comic metadata) from Firebase Firestore, hosted in the EU (region europe-west3, Frankfurt). Blog hero images and comic illustrations are served from a static CDN. No personal data, device identifiers, or user inputs are sent in these requests. No cookies or session tokens are used.
  • No accounts or login: The app does not require or support user accounts, registration, login, email entry, or any form of identity verification.

3) What we do not do

  • No mandatory user accounts, login, or email collection.
  • No collection, processing, or storage of personal data as defined under GDPR Article 4(1).
  • No sale of personal data.
  • No advertising tracking or ad SDKs.
  • No analytics SDKs within the app (no Firebase Analytics, no Crashlytics, no third-party analytics).
  • No crash reporting or diagnostic data collection.
  • No device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints collected.
  • No location data, camera, microphone, or sensor access.

4) Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party service for content delivery only:

Google Firebase Firestore (region europe-west3, Frankfurt, EU): Read-only content queries for educational reference material (FAQ, glossary, timeline, blog articles, literacy modules, prohibited practices, comic metadata). No personal data is transmitted. All requests use TLS encryption in transit. Firebase Security Rules are set to allow read access only with no write access.

Static image hosting (Hostinger CDN): Blog hero images and comic illustrations are served via HTTPS from a static hosting provider. No cookies, no tracking, no personal data involved.

5) Retention and controls

All user interactions (tool inputs, quiz answers, simulation decisions, assessment results) exist only in local app memory during the active session. When the app is closed or the session ends, all data is discarded automatically. There is no persistent storage of user data on the device or on any server. Uninstalling the app removes all locally cached content.

5a) Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the app collects no personal information from any user, this policy applies equally to all ages.

6) Your rights

Because the app does not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, delete, or port. If you believe we hold any personal data about you, contact contact@euaicompass.com and we will investigate and respond within 30 days.

7) Website analytics (this website only)

This website (euaicompass.com) uses Google Analytics, loaded only after you provide consent via the cookie banner. This does not apply to the mobile app, which contains no analytics.

8) Updates

We may update this policy. The effective date above indicates the latest version.
