Your organisation still needs to establish the facts, assign responsibility and retain evidence of its decisions. Start with one use case and a short list of unresolved actions. [Use the free EU AI Act check](https://euaicompass.com/checker.html) [Plan your next records](https://euaicompass.com/eu-ai-act-implementation-options.html#working-records) ## What a free diagnostic gives you Use a check or planner to organise your answers and identify topics for review. Its result depends on what you enter and the tool's scope. It does not inspect your contracts, verify how a system is used or approve a deployment. Keep the result alongside the date, the system and intended purpose, the person who completed it and the assumptions still to be checked. Revisit it when the use case, system or organisational role changes. [Use the free deployer obligation assessment](https://euaicompass.com/deployer-obligation-assessment.html) or [review provider and deployer roles](https://euaicompass.com/eu-ai-act-provider-vs-deployer.html) . ## Turn questions into records someone can review The following is a practical working sequence, not a universal list of legal duties. Decide which records are relevant to your organisation and use case. - **Scope the use.** Record the system, intended purpose, people affected, legal role and relevant application dates. Keep the source and reasoning behind each decision. - **Ask for supporting material.** Identify the provider instructions, contracts, test results and internal records needed to resolve each open question. - **Assign owners and reviewers.** Give each gap an accountable person, a next action and a review date. Keep an unresolved item open until supporting evidence is reviewed. - **Document oversight and disclosure.** Record who can intervene, what they need to know, and which transparency measures apply to the use case. - **Plan updates.** Set triggers for reviewing the record after a system, purpose, supplier or legal change. A statutory FRIA under Article 27 applies to specified categories of deployer and use. It is not required for every AI deployment. A DPIA has its own applicability test; completing one worksheet does not establish that either assessment is sufficient. [Explore the free FRIA drafting tool](https://euaicompass.com/local-fria-generator.html) and [the free transparency evidence guide](https://euaicompass.com/eu-ai-act-article-50-evidence-file.html) . ## When training can help Training is useful when staff need to recognise limits, question outputs, escalate problems or exercise oversight in their actual work. Choose learning around the role and system, then assess how it transfers to the task. Article 4 takes account of staff knowledge, experience and the context of use. It does not prescribe a universal course duration or pass mark. For high-risk human oversight, Article 26 addresses the competence, training, authority and support of the people assigned to it. A quiz result is one record. It does not by itself demonstrate that someone can oversee a particular system or has authority to stop its use. Buying a resource is not a prerequisite for using Compass or doing this work. - [The evidence starter library](https://euaicompass.com/eu-ai-act-evidence-starter-library.html) provides inventory, checklist, role, transparency, vendor, FRIA, oversight and incident starters. Select the records that fit your task. - [AI literacy flashcards](https://euaicompass.com/ai-literacy.html) and the [free training platform](https://euaicompass.com/eu-ai-act-training-platform.html) provide learning content and practice. The [planner](https://euaicompass.com/ai-literacy-planner.html) , [policy starter](https://euaicompass.com/ai-literacy-policy-template.html) , [manager briefing](https://euaicompass.com/ai-literacy-manager-briefing-pack.html) and [evidence log](https://euaicompass.com/ai-literacy-evidence-log-template.html) help organise it. Consider additional materials when you want coordinated operating records or a separately packaged learning programme. Your organisation still needs to check the facts, adapt the materials, assign owners and review how they work in practice. ## Evaluate an optional resource You can create records with your existing tools, use free resources or commission qualified help. If you consider a paid template or training package, ask: - Does its scope match your role, system and task? - Are blank operational records separate from fictional examples? - Does it distinguish missing evidence from a reviewed decision? - For training, what hosting, learner-data handling and tested compatibility does it require? - What use, renewal, update, support and refund-request rights are actually included? ## Compare the products and optional bundle EU AI Compass and Move78 share the operator ABACUS24 TECHNOLOGIES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED. These are our commercial resources, not independent recommendations. Product information is available on Move78. Purchasing is not yet available. Both products remain review drafts. Publishing this information does not mean the products have been approved for release. Neither product requires or includes the other. The optional bundle supplies both separately; it is not an integrated application. On a narrow screen, scroll the comparison table horizontally. Keyboard users can focus the table region and use the arrow keys.
